A very enjoyable race. I chased a guy during the last two miles and caught him with only 500 yards to go, but unfortunately I then slipped three times in the extremely muddy conditions and couldn't close the gap on him. A young guy also caught me in the last 200m, but the wind had already been 'knocked out of my sails' by then. Ali-G finished in 5th place today. I have never been so manky after a race. I had to wash in a puddle, as I had no shower gear with me.
