Slow return to running after 9 months of persistent injuries.
Recently, I was treated with acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine to help alleviate injuries to my glute, knee and achilles tendon. All of this was down my left leg. I am still at the early stages of recovery. This week I managed some running on grass (4 sessions) and one 3 mile outdoor run on pavements. From now on, I will run no more than three days per week and will cycle on the other 2 or 3 days, both indoor (Peloton) and outdoor. I have decided to finish with all forms of racing and will no longer return to the harriers.

No races for a year now due to the Covid-19 Epidemic.
I have a new hobby now - playing the elecronic keyboard. Also, I ahve been injured mostly for the last seven months. Firstly with a piriformis injury (again) and then latterly with a medial ligament strain on my left leg. Could be a lot worse as thoushands of people have died as a result of that awful disease.

Lockdown Blues.
That is 4 months being stuck indoors now. I have been running most days, but my eyesight is deteriorating and the other week there (June 2020) I tripped over and cracked my ribs. I was only 3 miles into a 9 miles run, but the pain from my sore ribs is causing me to lose sleep and for around 10 days I have not been able to run at all. As I write this on July 14 2020, I am slowly getting back to some semblance of fitness. My pace v heart rate is still relatively poor, but it is a work in progress. Can't complain too much, as too many people my age (55 years) have succumbed to that awful disease i.e. Covid-19.

My injury - Piriformis syndrome (sciatica)
Back to running, but unfortunately not pain free. Sciatica is a difficult thing to overcome.
